For some reason, I hate reading stories out loud. It never fails that when I go to someone’s house where they have a kid, the kid chooses me to be the reader. Again. And again. It’s like a black hole of books. I never know how to get out of the situation without looking like a jerk, so I usually pretend not to hear the kid. Probably a jerk move.
